I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
